Honor has officially begun the global rollout of MagicOS 10, built on the Android 16 platform, for the Magic 7 Pro. This substantial 3.27GB update (version 10.0.0.121) arrives roughly eight months after Google’s initial Android 16 release and requires between 4GB and 5GB of free storage space to install.

Performance Enhancements
The system now utilizes the Turbo X performance engine, complete with visual optimization indicators. Improvements are noticeable across the board, including smoother parallel operations during home screen navigation, refined app launch animations, snappier camera performance, and a much more responsive keyboard.
AI and Connectivity Features
New intelligence features are front and center, with call translation functionality debuting via the Honor AI settings. Additionally, smart screenshot technology now learns from user behavior to automatically suggest relevant services. Connectivity has also been boosted; the update enables direct file sharing with iPhones through device-to-device contact (requires the Honor Connect app v1.1.18111 or later on iOS). Furthermore, the new Honor WorkStation software ensures seamless transfers between the Magic 7 Pro and Mac or Windows computers.
Interface Redesign
Visually, the Control Center has been refreshed with a dark background, colorful icons, and fully customizable layouts. Lock screen personalization has expanded as well, offering additional clock styles that are easily accessible via a two-finger pinch gesture. A new transparency mode adds depth and visual flair to widgets and folders.
Magic Capsule Integration
The Magic Capsule is now more versatile, integrating charging status and screen recording for convenient real-time monitoring. To further enhance fluidity, “Long take” animations have been added for smoother transitions within the Clock, Gallery, and Notes applications.
Additional Improvements
Audio enthusiasts will appreciate the support for the Bluetooth LHDC 5.0 high-definition codec, which arrives alongside Android’s native “extra dim” accessibility feature. For comfort, a Motion Sickness Relief mode is included, capable of automatic activation while driving and featuring customizable dot colors. The camera interface also sees a refresh, offering two-row imaging menu views, status bar customization, and an improved video browsing experience in the Gallery.
Screenshot functionality has been refined to capture floating windows with a simple single-step area selection. The workflow is streamlined, allowing users to instantly replace original images with their edited screenshots.
Magic 7 Pro owners can check for the upgrade manually by navigating to Settings > System & updates > Software update. This comprehensive package marks a significant functional expansion that goes well beyond the standard feature set of Android 16.
