Forza Horizon 6 Set to Launch on May 19 for Xbox Series and PC

Playground Games has officially announced that Forza Horizon 6 will arrive on May 19, 2026, launching on Xbox Series X/S and PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam.

For those eager to hit the track , the developer revealed that owners of the Premium Edition will gain early access beginning May 15, 2026 . In a significant move for the franchise, a PlayStation 5 version has also been confirmed for release later that same year .

The announcement took place during the Xbox Developer_Direct on Thursday, January 22 , where Playground Games showcased fresh gameplay footage confirming the Japanese landscape as the newest home for the Horizon festival .

Spotlighting the diversity of the new roster, the studio introduced two cover vehicles: the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser and the 2025 GR GT Prototype, which is making its worldwide video game debut .

Forza Horizon 6 promises the most expansive map in the series’ history . The environment will feature a mix of rural countryside , winding mountain passes , and the sprawling metropolis of Tokyo —a city claimed to be five times larger than Guanajuato from Forza Horizon 5 .

In terms of content, the game will launch with over 550 cars and a suite of deep customization options . Players can look forward to new features such as livery painting on glass , body kits, cosmetic tire wear effects , and the introduction of a new “R Class” racing tier .
