We are still some time away from an official unveiling, but a fresh report from renowned insider Digital Chat Station has shed light on the capabilities of the upcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra. As one might anticipate from these flagship lineups, photography is the headline feature , with the leak detailing significant hardware ambitions for both devices.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra vs. Vivo X300 Ultra: A breakdown of the specs

Turning our attention to Oppo first, the Find X9 Ultra appears poised to dominate in long-range photography. The report suggests it will house a massive 1/1.28-inch sensor powering a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto unit. This primary zoom lens is expected to be paired with a secondary 50-megapixel periscope shooter capable of 10x optical zoom.

Beyond the zoom capabilities, the device is rumored to sport a 200MP main sensor and a 50MP ultrawide lens. To keep this heavy-duty hardware running, the leak indicates Oppo will equip the phone with a substantial 7,000mAh battery.

On the other side of the ring, the Vivo X300 Ultra is rumored to adopt a triple-camera configuration. This setup is headlined by a custom 200-megapixel 35mm main camera utilizing a large 1/1.12-inch sensor, flanked by a 50-megapixel ultrawide shooter with a 1/1.28-inch sensor.

For zooming, the device is expected to utilize a 200MP telephoto unit that supports optical zoom ranging from approximately 35mm to 85mm. Additionally, the camera island will reportedly house a custom multispectral sensor in the 5-megapixel range to assist with imaging accuracy.
