Inside the Pocket-Friendly Minix Neo Z95

Clocking in at roughly 88 x 88 x 43mm, the Neo Z95 is small enough to rest in the palm of your hand , yet it houses a surprisingly capable interior. At its core, the machine is powered by Intel’s N95 processor, a quad-core Alder Lake-N chip capable of speeds up to 3.4GHz. While this CPU isn’t designed to break benchmark records, it offers plenty of horsepower for smooth productivity, web browsing, office tasks, and video streaming. It isn’t built for heavy gaming or demanding creative workflows, but it provides reliable performance for daily use.

Backing up the processor is 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 512GB PCIe 3.0 SSD, providing generous memory and storage for a device of this stature. While the RAM is soldered onboard, the SSD can be upgraded if you need more space down the line. Despite its diminutive size, the Neo Z95 refuses to compromise on connectivity; it features three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two HDMI outputs, and one DisplayPort, enabling a triple-display setup. You also get dual Gigabit LAN ports and a standard 3.5mm audio jack.

Ready to run right out of the box, the mini PC comes with Windows pre-installed, ensuring compatibility with familiar desktop applications and streaming services. An active cooling system keeps temperatures stable during prolonged use , while its compact footprint and VESA-mount compatibility allow it to easily tuck away behind a monitor or TV. While Minix has not yet confirmed official pricing, most systems powered by the Intel N95 fall into the budget segment, suggesting this will be an affordable entry.
