Ugreen has launched its latest mobile accessory  in China: the LP1012 magnetic phone cooler , now available on JD.com for 199 yuan (approximately $29). Designed specifically for power users, this compact cooler targets mobile gamers , livestreamers, and content creators  who push their devices to the limit—activities that frequently trigger thermal throttling , screen dimming, and performance drops.

At the heart of the LP1012 is a 36 x 36mm thermoelectric (TEC) cooling plate . Ugreen claims this system can drive surface temperatures down to a chilly -25°C  under controlled laboratory conditions. While real-world performance will vary based on ambient temperatures and device workloads, the cooler utilizes a robust six-layer thermal architecture . This setup combines the TEC chip with an aluminum heat-conducting plate, high-density cooling fins, and thermal silicone pads to efficiently draw heat away from your phone’s chassis .

To dissipate that heat, the LP1012 features a seven-blade fan  with three adjustable speed profiles. The whisper-quiet low setting runs at 2,500 RPM, emitting just 20dB of noise—perfect for gaming  with built-in speakers without distracting background hums. The standard mode steps up to 4,000 RPM, while the high-performance mode cranks the fan to 6,500 RPM . Notably, Ugreen has designed the exhaust vents to direct hot air out of the sides rather than the top and bottom, ensuring your hands stay cool  while holding the phone horizontally.

The center of the fan houses a sleek digital display  that provides real-time temperature readouts and shows the active cooling mode. For those who love a gaming aesthetic, the cooler also features an RGB light ring  with 12 LEDs and five customizable lighting patterns—though it can be turned off entirely for a more understated, professional look.

Weighing in at a lightweight 96 grams , the cooler attaches magnetically to your device. It snaps seamlessly onto the back of any iPhone 12 or newer via Apple’s MagSafe standard . For Android users and tablet gamers , Ugreen thoughtfully bundles an adhesive magnetic ring and a physical phone clamp in the box . Additionally, the contact base is lined with soft silicone to protect your device from scratches.

Because the LP1012 doesn’t have an internal battery , it must remain plugged in during use. It draws power via a USB-C port  and requires a charger capable of supplying at least 30W to unlock its maximum cooling mode. A particularly thoughtful addition is the integrated, standard 1/4-inch screw thread, allowing creators to easily mount the entire phone-and-cooler setup onto a tripod  for long, stationary video shoots.

This release follows Ugreen’s other recent power-focused launches, including a 45W 10,000mAh smart power bank  featuring a built-in cable and color display, alongside an ultra-slim 12.5mm 45W GaN charger .
