Vivo launches the S50t in China, featuring minor storage changes from the S50. Discover specs and pricing for the 12GB and 16GB RAM models today.

Vivo has quietly introduced the S50t smartphone to the Chinese market. While it might initially appear to be an entirely new device, it is essentially a subtly reworked iteration of the Vivo S50, which debuted in late 2025. In fact, the differences are so minor that they are easy to overlook.

The most notable alteration lies under the hood , where Vivo has traded the faster UFS 4.1 storage for UFS 3.1. Fortunately, this is a minor downgrade that is unlikely to impact everyday performance, and the rest of the phone’s hardware remains largely untouched.

Vivo S50t Launch, Specs, and Pricing

This minor storage adjustment naturally brings a shift in pricing. The base model, featuring 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, launches at 3,299 yuanβ€”with a limited-time promotional price of 3,199 yuan. A higher-tier 16GB RAM and 512GB storage version is priced at 3,599 yuan. By comparison, the standard Vivo S50 costs around 100 yuan for the 12/512GB variant.Β

Vivo S50t Specifications and Design

Aesthetically, the device remains practically unchanged. It retains a notably slim profile, measuring just 7.49mm thick in select colorways, and features a premium aluminum frame paired with a satin-finish glass back. Buyers can choose from four distinct finishes: Confession , Serenity Blue , Inspiration Purple , and Space Black.

The visual experience is driven by a vibrant 6.59-inch AMOLED display. It boasts a sharp 1.5K resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and full support for both HDR and the P3 color gamut. To prioritize user comfort, Vivo has integrated eye-care technologies such as high-frequency PWM dimming and low blue light emissions.

Hardware and Performance

Powering the smartphone is the capable Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, complemented by highly efficient LPDDR5X RAM. On the software front, it runs OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16. Keeping the lights on is a massive 6,500mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging, though wireless charging is notably absent.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the robust rear camera module, which features a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens powered by Sony’s IMX882 sensor. A high-resolution 50MP front-facing camera handles selfies. Uniquely, both the front and rear camera systems are equipped with their own dedicated flash units.

Rounding out the spec sheet is an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking , alongside modern connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. The device also includes an IR blaster, an X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback , and a standard suite of onboard sensors.
