A 2nm powerhouse with a massive 7,000mAh battery? The Vivo X500 Pro leaks are finally here, and this compact flagship is set to redefine everything.
Reports have revealed that the upcoming Vivo X500 series will comprise of three devices equipped with different display sizes. The exact monikers of these devices are not known, but they are likely to be dubbed Vivo X500, X500 Pro (or Pro Mini), and Vivo X500 Pro Max . Today, tipster Digital Chat Station published a Weibo post revealing the chipset and camera details of the Vivo X500 Pro .

According to the leak, the device is currently being tested with MediaTekβs next-generation 2nm Dimensity 9600 series chipset and could become one of only two βProβ compact flagship phones expected later this year .
The tipster also revealed early camera specifications of the engineering prototype . The Vivo X500 Pro is said to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor and LOFIC technology, alongside a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera . The setup may also include a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with around 3x optical zoom .
While some may assume that the 64-megapixel unit could be the OmniVision OV64B sensor, which has appeared on several smartphones over the past few years, tipster Digital Chat Station has reportedly clarified that the Vivo X500 Proβs periscope telephoto camera will instead use Sonyβs new IMX06H sensor . This also suggests that a 200-megapixel camera may remain exclusive to the Vivo X500 Pro Max in the lineup , where it is expected to serve as the periscope telephoto camera .

As per other reports, the Vivo X500 Pro will have a 6.37-inch flat OLED LTPO panel with support for a 1.5K resolution . It is also expected to pack a massive 7,000mAh+ battery . Being a next-generation flagship, the device is expected to come preloaded with OriginOS 7-based Android 17 .
As far as launch is concerned, the X500 series is expected to break cover in September in China . Globally, it is expected to debut in November or December this year .
