Ugreen 160W Charger: Launch Specs and Pricing

Equipped to handle a crowded desk, the charger features four USB-C ports alongside a single USB-A port, allowing you to juice up to five devices simultaneously. To manage this load, Ugreen utilizes its proprietary SmartCharge power allocation technology. This system intelligently assesses the specific power demands of each connected gadget and dynamically distributes the optimal charging speeds.

When it comes to sheer performance, a single USB-C port can push a massive 140W of output. Whether you’re utilizing a dual, triple, or quad USB-C configuration, Ugreen notes that the brick can achieve a combined maximum output of 160W. If you max out the charger by plugging into all five ports at once, the total output tops out at an impressive 155W.

Under the hood, an upgraded gallium nitride (GaN) chip drives the system, ensuring high-efficiency power transfer with significantly lower heat generation. For added peace of mind during extended charging sessions, the device features continuous, real-time temperature monitoring to maintain optimal safety standards.

Refined 160W Charger Design

Ugreen has also made subtle refinements to the exterior. The device sheds some bulk, dropping from the 353 grams of its predecessor to a more travel-friendly 320 grams. Aesthetically, the prominent “160W” branding on the side has been swapped from a muted gray to a striking red, giving it a bolder look.

Diving into the specific port capabilities, both USB-C1 and USB-C2 are capable of delivering that peak 140W output. The USB-C3 port handles up to 100W, while USB-C4 is capped at 30W. Finally, the legacy USB-A port provides a respectable 22.5W for older or less demanding accessories.

Frequent travelers will also appreciate the broad 100V to 240V input range, ensuring the charger is fully compatible with international power grids.

With this launch, Ugreen’s 160W GaN fast charger sets a new standard for multi-device power management, perfectly blending smart display tech with versatile five-port connectivity.
