🚀 Anker Launches an Affordable 5-in-1 USB-C Hub Featuring HDMI and 90W Pass-Through Charging ✨
Stop overpaying for USB-C hubs. 🛑 Anker just launched a sleek, ultra-portable 5-in-1 dock that delivers 90W power and 4K video for an unbelievably low price. 🔌✨
🆕 Anker has quietly rolled out a sleek new USB-C hub, designed specifically for users seeking essential connectivity without the bulk of a traditional docking station. 🔌 Officially dubbed the 5-in-1 All-in-One USB-C Expansion Dock, this highly portable accessory recently hit the market in China via JD.com. 🇨🇳 It carries a budget-friendly price tag of 99 yuan, which translates to roughly €12.49 at current exchange rates. 💰

🛠️ While the feature set is decidedly straightforward, it covers the practical bases brilliantly. The expansion dock is equipped with a total of five ports: an HDMI 1.4 output, three standard USB-A connections, and a single USB-C port specifically reserved for power delivery. ⚡
📺 For video output, the HDMI port handles 4K resolution at 30Hz. While it won’t satisfy users looking for high-refresh-rate performance, it is perfectly adequate for standard external monitors, office presentations, or streaming media. 📽️ On the USB-A front, one port delivers USB 3.0 data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps, while the remaining two operate at USB 2.0 speeds—ideal for connecting everyday peripherals like a mouse, keyboard, or printer. 🖱️⌨️
🔋 Pass-through charging stands out as one of the hub’s most valuable assets. The dock can accept up to 100W of power input, channeling up to 90W directly to your connected laptop while reserving the remaining wattage to run the hub itself. 💻 However, it is worth noting that the USB-C port functions exclusively as a power conduit and does not support data transfers or video output. ⚠️
🎨 From a design perspective, the dock embodies Anker’s signature aesthetic. It features a robust yet lightweight aluminum alloy chassis finished in an elegant dark gray. 🔘 Measuring a remarkably slim 11.6mm in thickness and tipping the scales at a mere 57.6 grams, the hub is purpose-built for life on the go. 🎒
💼 Given its approachable price, this accessory is tailored for everyday laptop users rather than professionals requiring high-end workstation setups. As modern ultrabooks continue to shed built-in ports in favor of thinner profiles, versatile dongles like this have transitioned from luxury add-ons to absolute necessities for many. 📍
🛡️ Backing the device is Anker’s standard 18-month warranty, providing a solid layer of buyer confidence. Ultimately, if you are looking for an all-in-one adapter that delivers basic display capabilities, a handful of essential USB ports, and dependable charging, this compact hub is a remarkably sensible choice. ✅

Why Next-Gen AI Smartphones May Ditch LPDDR for LLW 🪐
Smartphones 📱 are hitting a major memory bottleneck, and it is not something a simple software update can resolve. While modern mobile processors are fully capable of running large language models (LLMs) locally, on-device AI 🧠 is pushing hardware to its absolute limits.
The real bottleneck lies in current LPDDR memory technology, which struggles to feed data to these processors fast enough to keep up with AI demands. It is this exact challenge 🎯 that forces AI datacenters to rely on ultra-fast High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) ⚡.
To bridge this gap, a new memory standard called LLW (Low Latency Wide DRAM) is currently in development 🧬, promising to solve the mobile bottleneck once and for all 🔮.
LLW: The HBM-Style Solution for Smartphones 🚀
LLW takes a page out of the HBM playbook. HBM achieves blistering speeds ⚡ by stacking multiple memory layers close to the processor and linking them through an incredibly wide interface. This architecture delivers massive bandwidth, potentially performing 10 to 15 times faster 💥 than today’s top-tier LPDDR memory.
However, traditional HBM requires complex packaging and heavy-duty cooling 🧊 that simply won’t fit inside a smartphone. LLW aims to deliver the best of both worlds: offering the high bandwidth and low latency of stacked memory without the thermal and physical space constraints that usually come with it 💎.
Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro: Early Adopters? 👀
Of course, these early rumors should be taken with a grain of salt 🧂. The current details stem from industry bloggers and tech tipsters rather than official manufacturer roadmaps.
According to a leak from tipster Fixed Focus Digital, LLW memory could slash power consumption by up to 50% 🔋 while simultaneously boosting overall performance by 1.5 times.
We will have to wait a while ⏳ to see this technology in action. The leak indicates that widespread adoption of LLW is still a few years away, with large-scale deployment not expected until the second half of 2027. When it does arrive, Xiaomi and Huawei are rumored to be among the first to adopt it, though neither brand has officially confirmed these plans 🏆.
